After our brutal million degree summer, most all the ivy turned brown along with every other living thing. Brown ivy is even worse that green so we decided it needed to go. When Tom and I got married, he said that his version of hell would be waking up each Saturday morning and having to do a big house project. He's been a good sport because we've had a few too many house projects and he's had a great attitude. I wish I had a picture of our garage because he cleaning the whole thing last weekend. Anyway, when we took the ivy off, we discovered that it left a mark. By "mark" I mean, it covered the entire house in ivy remains. We borrowed a power sprayer from my uncle and went to work. Shoot, that took the paint off but not the ivy.

House Work
This was the first picture of our house that we saw. I love our house but was never a big fan of the ivy. It looked too cluttered to me. However, you don't pass up an awesome house just because of ivy...right?

Finally, we decided that we needed to call in some professionals. We found a great deal on house painters who scraped all the ivy off and repainted our house. I always freak out about making decisions like paint because I don't have "the eye" for that kind of thing. Luckily, I have friends who do. Here's what we ended up with.
