Happy Birthday Mikey Roo!

All week I've been thinking about last year at this time. My sweet little Michael Thomas was due the Tuesday before Thanksgiving last year. He came on the following Sunday. To be honest, I was happy to wait. Even though I was anxious to meet my baby boy, I was nervous about adding a new family member. By the time Sunday rolled around, I was finally ready. From the beginning, my Baby Michael has been patient and sweet. Michael rarely cries and laughs often. He talks nonstop, "whoa, uh oh, booow oww, daaaa." He's obsessed with Tyler and thrives on attention from him. Mikey loves bopping his head to music and having me dance with him. He also "sings" along with us. He's a great eater and sleeper. He's also good at entertaining himself. He'll play with toys, try to put lids on things, "read" a book for long periods of time. This last week he started standing up all by himself. He's super excited about this new development and practices all the time. We're sure he'll take his first steps at any moment. Our family tends to be a little high strung at times and I can see already that Michael is our little calming force. I'm amazed and grateful that Heavenly Father has blessed us with such a wonderful boy.
