Florida

The week before Thanksgiving, Tom had a work conference in Florida and guess who go to go?  Me!  We left Tuesday morning and got back Friday night which is the longest I've even been away from the boys.  Of course I was a big wimp and freaked out a little before we left.  Luckily, Tom's mom came to take care of the boys and they had the time of their lives.  By "they" I mean my boys.  I can't speak for Gram.  She took them to the park, library, museum, the dollar store for balloons and out for ice cream.  They had a bunch of themed meals which the boys loved.  Magically, Gram was able to get Mikey to eat something other than peanut butter sandwiches.  What a woman!  She brought a birthday bag for Mikey and everyday they would say something like, "4,3,2,1 when Mom and Dad are gone, we have FUN!" They would then grab something new and exciting from the bag.  Seriously, I have the best mother in law ever.  My favorite thing is that she sent me updates with pictures multiple times a day.  It helped me realize that I could relax and have fun.  I'm grateful she made it possible for us to have a vacation.

 It was a smidge chilly but warmer than Oklahoma so we took the opportunity to spend as much time at the beach as possible.  When Tom was in meetings, I hung out at the beach and pool reading or went shopping at the outdoor mall close to our hotel.  Seriously, it was pure heaven. 

The last time we were at the beach, I was pregnant with Tyler, so I guess it's only fitting that 4 years later, when we finally got back to a beach, I was 8 weeks pregnant with our third.  Yay!  We're due in June!
