Tyler's Talk

Tyler about died from excitement when he was asked to give his first talk at church in primary.  The topic was "I Choose to Fill My Life with Things that Invite The Spirit."  We sat down with a notepad to write it out before hand.  We talked a little about the topic and then he very carefully wrote the following.

Are you dying from his cuteness?  He told me that he wanted me to whisper the talk in his ear when he was up there so maybe I should write the words out too.  He made it very clear that he didn't want me to say, "good job" when he was done.  What a nut!  Here's what we wrote together.  I asked him questions like, "How do you feel the Spirit" and he answered with what I wrote down.
When talk time came I was a little worried that he'd just go up and giggle the entire time but he did really well.  Tom and I were both super proud of him but, as previously stated, we weren't aloud to say "good job."  Have I mentioned that I love that kid to pieces?

We know you've got a true Robins on your hands with that love of public speaking! Although, the not wanting praise doesn't seem to quite fit...

Great that you saved his first talk. So sweet. I love it that you let him write it himself.

It was great to see Tyler's first talk was recorded on a LaSalle County Regional Office of Education note pad and that he's continuing the Robins' tradition!
