Mr. Clean

Today Tyler found the broom and "swept" the kitchen. When I tried to take it away, he wasn't having it. Hopefully his desire to sweep will continue throughout childhood and adolescence. What do you think are my chances of having that happen??

Yesss. I need to find Eliott a little broom because he loves to sweep. And he loves to throw things away and help me push the stroller and put the silverware away and all kinds of useful things. If only it would last, right? When are we going to see y'all again? Miss you. Mua.

Okay, that's seriously cute. :)

Paul had a little broom when he was that age. It was one of his favorite toys. It broke after a few years and I need to get some more. My kids still fight over who gets to use the broom to sweep the sidewalks and the leaves. They also load the dishwasher, put away their clothes, dust and vacuum, all voluntarily. Keep encouraging helping, and they will continue to like it. At least until age eight, I don't have experience to guarantee anything past that. :)
