My little guys are so dang cute. It goes without saying that I'm glad I'm their mom.

Dedicated to "Big Mike"
Uncle Mike aka "Big Mike" called me yesterday to let me know that a new Oklahoma Robins Nest post is way past due.
Here's an update on the two coolest people in our family.
Baby Mikey: He is the happiest most contented baby you'll ever meet. My mom says that he just wants an excuse to laugh and be happy. It's pretty rewarding because you can say something as simple as, "Hey sweet boy!" and Michael will smile, coo and laugh. Last week we were at Camp Grammy and he was happy to be held by everyone (especially Grammy and Grandpa Tim). If he gets fussy, Mikey is easily pacified by his pacifier (duh) or a sippy cup with water. He's been rolling over and scooting around for a while. I can tell that he wants to crawl but just can't figure it out. My favorite thing lately is the way he reacts to Tom and Tyler. When Tom gets home, Mikey starts smiling, flapping his little arms and laughing. The same thing happens when he sees Tyler even though Tyler usually doesn't give him much feedback. I love the way he watches kids playing. It's like he thinking, "Can I play too? PLEASE!!!"
Tyler Bug: Tyler is a rascal and I love it (most of the time). He had a hard time with the move. We lived in an apartment for about a month and a half which wasn't that awesome. Now that we're more settled and in a house. Tyler is back to his happy self. Tom said that when they were rocking before bedtime last night Tyler said, "Daddy, I love my new house." Tyler almost exclusively plays with cars, trains and balls. He has started pretending which is really entertaining to watch. The other day he was playing with one of his "Thomas Trains" and I heard him say, "I love you Percy" then change his voice and say, "I love you too Tyler." Currently Tyler is learning the meaning of rules; for example, he'll say something like, "We don't get down for the table until we're done eating. That's a rule right Momma?" He's obsessed with teams and players. At least once a day he'll say something like, "I'm a soccer team" or "Mommy, say, 'Come here football player Tyler." If I want him to do something and he's resisting, I'll say, "Come on Team Tyler...Let's go." He'll get a really serious look on his face and hustle over. Today I ran with both boys to the park. Tyler wasn't too interested in the toys, he wanted to run and play on the basketball court. He'd dribble the ball for a second, throw it and then chase after it. Everyday when Tom gets home, Tyler wants to play "dinosaurs." Tom growls and chases Tyler and Tyler screams and runs around the house. He loves it when I pick him up and run around with him. Yesterday when Tom left for work, Tyler said, "Daddy will you play dinosaurs with me when you get home from work?" I seriously love the special bond between Tyler and Tom.
