Yesterday I took Christie and Macy to the airport. They had been visiting for the past week. I was sad to see them go. Tyler, Tom and I LOVED having them here. This morning when Tyler woke up, the first thing he said was, "
Play with Macy?" I feel grateful that I have such amazing in-laws. After so many years of only brothers, it sure is nice to have a few sisters.
Macy was so good with Baby Mikey and Tyler. She'd always bring me diapers and offer to hold Mike. She "
babysat" Mike when I left the room. I told her that I was sad to see her go and she said something like, "
It's going to be hard for you when I leave because you won't have someone to bring you diapers and babysit." She's adorable.
We went to the aquarium which is actually pretty impressive considering that we're in Oklahoma. I think Tyler felt pretty cool showing Macy all of the fish because he had been there before. They both loved the sting rays. Macy was brave enough to pet them.
Christie spent a lot of time playing with the kids. Tyler likes reading but usually doesn't sit still to read for more than a few books. I could tell that he really loved both Christie and Macy because he sat with them for a long time reading stories.
The only downfall of the trip was that Tyler got really sick half way through. He spent two days laying on the couch with Tom or me (totally uncommon for a kid who never stops moving). I felt like crying because he was so lethargic and sad. Luckily I had Christie there for moral support and to help or I think I would have lost it. Macy made a get well card for Tyler...like I said...adorable.

I'm SO glad we could spend this time together! Macy told the dentist all about her cute cousins this morning.

I'm sure it was the homemade card that made Tyler fell better. I know
the cards from the Watsons always brighten my day!
