You Can't Deny Your Roots

As I've mentioned before, my dad and I often play backgammon (FYI I kicked his booty today). In fact, my entire family (on Dad's side) plays. Tyler has been watching intently as we've played an endless amount of games. Finally one day, I let him "play" and he absolutely loved it. The first day I had the board out for him, he sat at the table playing contently for almost an hour. Pretty amazing. A day doesn't go by without Tyler asking for "dice." Tyler was pretty excited to be able to play with Grandpa.
It's super cute because he rolls the dice, cheers and then hands them over to the other player. He also moves the pieces and counts. Mostly, he just says "two" over and over. We're still working on it. :)
I love that even though Tyler looks like a carbon copy of Tom, my family game playing genes are shining through. Nice job Little T!

i'm sure he'll be playing for real before you know it!

You'll have to teach us to play. Robyn's really into games right now!
