Reverting Back to Babyhood

Tom and I spent the first four months of Tyler's life with our finger in his mouth. He wouldn't suck on a pacifier to save his life. We tried it a million different times with a million different types. He wouldn't have it. I have a vivid memory of sitting by his crib at about three in morning with my arm through the slates and finger in his mouth. Luckily, his need for our fingers ended and we were able to pack the paci's away. (Tom and I decided that when we have another kid, one of the first things we'll do is start the pacifier. I don't think either of us can handle to finger thing again.) The other day, he found one of the many we tried and thought he was so clever. He spent about half an hour sucking...no chewing on it and laughing. I know I've said this before but he totally cracks me up. I love it.

That's great! I love how they do things, after we need them to. I, too, have many nights under my belt of sitting beside Paul's crib with my arm falling asleep through the slats. Only I was patting his back and singing to him, he wouldn't suck on anything until he discovered his own thumb.

He's getting Soo big. I love the non pacifier baby's with a pacifier. Cali uses them for entertainment as well. I love this age - Enjoy it.
