Lions and Tigers and Bears and...

This morning we were looking on the internet for fun things to do in our area and came upon a wildlife sanctuary. We thought it might be a little cheesy but were sure that no matter the animal, Tyler would like to see it. (He gets excited when we take him by the goldfish tank at Wal Mart.) We were pleasantly surprised to find that the "safari" exceeded our expectations. They had everything from snakes and alligators to lions, tigers and bears. They even had a liger. The girl giving us the tour was telling us about where all the different animals came from. Most came from weirdos who bought animals on the black market and then couldn't take care of them. (At what point in time do you feel that you can take care of a tiger or a python??) The most interesting factoid for Tom and I was that a couple of the Tigers used to be Mike Tyson's...isn't that funny/weird? We had a great time!

Can you believe this is in Oklahoma??? Ty loved the bird (a parakeet or cockatoo?) in the background because it would wave at you with his claws and say "hello."
