It's Been Too Long

I hate, hate, hate when I get his far behind on the blog.  In my attempt to catch up, I'm just going speed through the last couple of months.
My boys LOVE being outside which makes me super happy.  They also LOVE getting muddy.  It's cute but I'm pretty sure Tyler won't be passing his clothes down to his younger brothers.
April and Brian came around St Patties Day with their boys.  My boys were in heaven.  Unfortunately, I didn't get a ton of pictures.  We brought Isaac to Tyler's preschool party.  Love those boys!
Mikey is ready to help Grandpa build something.
As you can see when it comes down to it, Grandpa has a lot of help.
Spent the weekend with my parents.  The boys passed out the moment we hit the road.
Miracles Happen: My boys have started enjoying a quiet activity.  Yay!
 More Outside Time
Easter Egg Hunt at Preschool: Tyler was SO nice to share his eggs with Mikey and Mikey was patient while all the kids found eggs.
Happy Easter: Gram and Grandpa Tim came to visit.  As always, it was tons of fun.  Don't take Mikey's stinker face as an indication of how it went.  The boys are obsessed with their awesome grandparents.
 Our Family Easter Picture
My parents came for Easter Dinner.  Do you think the boys get enough love from these guys?  Mikey is buried somewhere in the middle.  I have to say that I feel blessed to have these four people loving on my kids all the time.
Gram was amazing and watched the boys while Tom and I went to Colorado overnight.  We had fun.  The boys had fun.  It was perfect.
Don't mind Tom attacking his pregnant wife with snowballs.
Our weather has been totally back and forth but we're grateful for the warm...play in the water days.
It has become a tradition that Gram takes the boys to Braums when she stays with them.
Do you think they like it? So good!  THANKS GRAM!
Again, the boys LOVE the mud.  We went to the park and they found a huge puddle and spent a lot of time in it.  The walk home was uncomfortable but it was fun while it lasted.
This picture cracks me up.  Tyler calls him "The Power the Hulk" rather than "The Incredible Hulk."
Another quiet activity that the boys like.  Yay!
Snuggled up watching a show.  Have I mentioned that I love these guys?
My amazing mother bought me tickets for my birthday to visit Garrett, Christina and their three amazing kids.  She kept my kids while I went.  It was fun to spend time with Lily, Boston and Crew.  I wish I would have included a picture of Crew.  That baby is amazingly cute!  Boston and Lily are so stinking cute too.  It was fun to be with them and be kid free so I could get to know them a little better.  I also loved spending time with Garrett and Christina. Thank you, thank you, thank you MOM!!!
Side note: I always hear stories about crazy sister-in-laws.
I'm sure glad all of mine are cool.  It makes life fun and easy.
Tom had to be out of town for my birthday but before he left, he brought home a bunch of balloons.  He is a sweet guy.  Pretty much balloons are the coolest thing a 2 and 4 year old could ask for so the boys were in heaven.
They especially loved turning the balloons into a weapon.  Good thing we are having another boy...a girl might not survive the toughness of Tyler and Mikey.
As a Valentines/Birthday Gift Tom got me tickets to go visit Erica in California.  We hadn't seen each other in years (since I was prego with Mikey).  In typical Erica style, she made a really big deal out of my birthday.  We had so much fun hanging out.  I loved getting to know her kids and just being together.  The great thing about Erica is that we can go years without seeing each other and when we get together it's like we're roomies at BYU again.  You know, the kind of roommate that has 5 kids. :)  I'm glad we've stayed so close.  She is someone who I think brings out the best in me.  Love ya Erica!
Unfortunately, the only picture I have is after a sweaty walk.
We have a membership to the zoo and the science museum but those things pale in comparison to riding the lawn mowers at Home Depot.  Seriously, Mikey is SO darn cute.
Out for a run/walk with mommy.  If Mikey ever got ahead of Tyler, Tyler would ask him to wait and then would zoom past.  Oh, the hard life of a younger sibling.  Luckily, it has made Mikey tough as nails.
More fun in the mud.  I literally had to use a shovel to get all of the junk off Mikey's head.  He loved every second of it so I couldn't be bugged.
 Boys will be Boys
I freely admit that motherhood has been overwhelming for me.  I often worry if I'm screwing everything up or not enjoying the time enough or not loving on them enough or not spending my time appropriately...or...or...or...When I look over these pictures, it's not like I don't feel that way, but I have to say that my life is full of joy.  I'm grateful for my opportunity to be a mother.  Even though I make mistakes, I can say with full confidence that I really have felt divine help in being better.  I also can't say enough how grateful I am for supportive parents and parents-in-law who make me a better mom and make sacrifices to have a quality relationship with my family.  Life is good.
I now vow to not put off blogging for so long because seriously, who can resist those muddy boys?

I think you are a wonderful mom!! Why? First and foremost because you are Emily and therefore by default you are a wonderful mom. Secondly, because you are nice enough to let your boys play in the mud on a regular basis. I consider myself something of a mud/dirt/sand nazi and hold less OCD moms in high esteem. :) I love you so much and wish I could see you before we move!!! Your boys are precious--in those pictures Mikey reminds me a lot of Max. I hope you and baby #3 are doing great!

We loved seeing the pictures. It almost felt like we were right there. Thanks for posting them so we feel like we're a part of your lives even thought it's 11 hours away.

Two things: first, I love all the pictures. Second, I miss you and we should talk some time. Third: I agree with Katie about you being a great Mommy. Love you!
