Don't you love this time of year? It's the perfect time to spend hours reading everyone's beautiful fall blogs. I love the pumpkin patches, trick or treating, leaves...it's great. Here is my contribution to the blogosphere fall craze...along with some extra stuff.
We talk a lot about The Temple around here but haven't taken the boys there. A few weeks ago we decided to rectify that. They had a fun time walking around the beautiful grounds and taking pictures. As always, they also found the one spot of dirt and covered themselves in it.
The other day Tom was working late and the kitchen was clean so I took the boys to Chick Fil A. They LOVE that place and I love not cooking and cleaning. It works perfectly.
Besides playing on the toys, their favorite part is turning their kids meal toy in for ice cream. Aren't you proud of me for being a less uptight mom? When Tyler was Mikey's age he never would have gotten ice cream for no reason. Have I changed for the better or worse? I sure don't hear the boys complaining.
Tyler had his preschool Halloween program the other day. So cute! I loved every minute of it. He got to hold the flag for the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning. If there's on thing that boy likes, it's being the center of attention. My favorite part of the program is when Tyler yelled, "Mommy I'm going to scare YOU!" Love that kid.
This is Tyler's best buddy Simon. Everyday when it's outside time, they play, "no girls in the castle." They also chase the girls. According to both Tyler and Simon, the girls really like it. mmmmm
We dressed as a Super Family for our church's Halloween party. I wish I would have gotten a picture of all of us together. The party was fun and chaotic which is exactly what it was supposed to be. The boys loved watching the older kids play and seeing their costumes. They also loved the abundance of candy.
Last weekend we went to Brian's house so we could be at the baby blessing of his new little guy. Tyler and Mikey both loved, loved, loved being around the sweet baby. Tyler sure has changed his opinion about babies over the years. Remember when he used to scream and cry if I even got close to another kid? My favorite part about the weekend besides meeting my new nephew is watching Tyler and Isaac wrestle. Those boys totally went at it and had fun the entire time. No crying, whining, etc. Amazingly when one said he was done, the other stopped. What great little buddies!
I made pumpkin and skeleton quesadillas for Halloween. Can you tell? They kind of just look like blobs. Luckily, the boys didn't think so. They thought it was great.
Tyler decided he no longer wanted to be Super Tyler for Halloween and switched over to the dragon. Again, thanks to the Watsons for the costume. It was a warm night and by the time we got home and took of his dragon, Tyler was covered in sweat.
Super Mikey! He got the hang of trick or treating really quickly and at one point asked for more. What a punk! At least he's cute.
Here's our scary dragon. We were impressed with how polite Tyler was at each door. No grabbing, crying, yelling. He always said thank you and Happy Halloween when he was done. Yay, for kids who make good choices!
After we were done trick or treating, Tyler was just as excited to pass out candy. It was so cute because he would stand right in front of the door and just wait for someone to come along. We told him that he could stay up late but he couldn't whine when we said it was time for bed. He said, "Okay, I won't whine. I'll just 'awwww' when you tell me it's time for bed."
Sure enough, when I said time for bed, Tyler said, "awww" and then went.
I realize I'm being super annoying with all my kid bragging, but I don't care because, like I said, they're so cute! Happy Halloween!!!

I love it all. When it's your blog you get to brag all you want. That's my philosophy anyway. Plus your boys are super cute, so you're just stating facts.:)
That's the first time I've seen the Pledge of Allegiance in preschool and at a Halloween party. Way to go Tyler for holding the flag high!
Everyone looks super in their costumes:)
Gram
I love the super hero costumes! Where's yours, Em? Only in OK would a kid come home from trick-or-treating covered in sweat.
Thanks for sharing.
Always love seeing you guys.
