We celebrated Tom's 32 birthday on April 3. Mikey is still learning about birthdays but Tyler is a pro. He spent the day asking about Tom's cake and when we could have some. I noticed Tyler washing his hands and one point during the day (a rare occurrence) and asked if he had just gone to the bathroom. Tyler: "No, I'm washing cake off my hands." Me: "Did you put your hands in Daddy's cake?" Tyler: "No, I put my hands in the basketball cake." Mmmm...very suspicious...especially since there were finger marks in Daddy's cake. That Tyler, pretty sneaky.
Tom and I are going to take a little "staycation" next week. My awesome mom is coming to watch the kids. Because of that, we didn't really do too much for his big day. After cake and ice cream, Aunt Meg came over to stay with the boys while we went out. The boys LOVE Aunt Meg. We're blessed to have family close. When Tyler woke up the next morning he said, "Mom, I sure loved having Aunt Meg over." 
Thinking about Tom makes me feel all mushy because he's such an amazing person. I'm in constant awe of how he endlessly gives to our family. Tyler, Mikey and I are blessed to have such an exceptional dad/husband in our lives. Happy Birthday Tom!
