Tour de Fleur

Last weekend we went to Dallas to hang out with Brian, April and family and to run the Tour de Fleur. As of late, my favorite part of hanging out with Brian's family is seeing Ty and Isaac play together. As we were driving down on Friday night, Tyler wouldn't fall asleep because he was too excited about seeing Isaac. Love it. April ran the 20K and kicked butt...seriously she should become the Texas Running Mom because she dominates. Brian and I ran the 10K. I was happy for Brian because he had some IT Band problems but they didn't bug him the whole race. When Brian and I were lining up at the start line, I remembered how we used to run together in Provo when we were both single. My oh my how times have changed.
I got my butt kicked. I wasn't super prepared and it was a humid, yucky day. I've had a few good runs since, so I don't feel as badly about it all.
Brian tried to teach Isaac and Tyler how to play "go fish." Don't you love how they're both in their undies? Brian wins the award for being the most patient uncle, daddy ever. Watching those two play was pretty much the funniest thing I've ever seen. They laid all their cards in front of them so everyone could see.
Tyler: "Isaac do you have an octopus?"
Isaac: "Yes I do. Here ya go."
Brian: "Awesome Tyler. Now you have all the octopus cards. You can ask for another one." Tyler: "Isaac do you have an octopus?" Isaac: "No, go fish."
When Tyler and Isaac see each other they immediately hug until both fall down. As we were driving into our neighborhood at the end of the trip, Tyler starting bawling, "I want to go back to Isaac's house!!!" Oh how I love those boys. I'm excited for when Mike and Grant do the same thing.
