Tylerisms

Tyler has alway been a pretty chatty kid but lately he has really come alive with how he expresses himself. For example...

Breakfast

Me: "Tyler, what would you like for breakfast?"

Tyler: "A Peanut Butter Sandwich."

Me: "Aww...that's silly, we don't have peanut butter sandwiches for breakfast."

Tyler (laughing): "I want a casadilla for breakfast." Me: "What? Casadillas for breakfast. We don't have casadillas for breakfast." Tyler (more serious): "Grilled Cheese Sandwhich"

Me (thinking we're still joking): "Aw...Tyler we don't have..." Tyler interupting: "RELAX Mom! Relax...I want a grilled cheese sandwich."

The morning after Tom's Birthday:

Tom: "Tyler, do you want eggs for breakfast." Tyler: "Mmm...how 'bout some pie?"

Visitors

The other day Tom and I were talking about hiring someone to cut the grass because our mower is broken. Tyler overheard the conversation.

Tyler: "A guy is coming to our house but it's okay because he's nice. He won't tickle me."

Before "Big Mike" came to visit we heard Tyler talking in his bed, "Big Mikes my friend...YEAH."

Sweet Talk

Tyler was being especially onery yesterday and I was about to loose my patience until he said, "Mommy I love you. You're a princess." Just like a true Robins male, Tyler has learned the art of sweet talking.

Sharing

A while back we needed an extra blanket to wrap up Michael before bedtime. All of his blankets were dirty so I asked Tyler to share one of his blankets with Mikey. Tyler threw himself on the ground and began crying hysterically, "No Mommy! That would be CRAZY!"

Mascots

Tom took Tyler to the Tulsa Drillers Baseball Stadium (the local AA baseball team). They saw the mascot, Hornsby. Tyler hasn't stopped talking about him since. My favorite is when he was pretending to be Hornsby at lunch the other day, "I'm Horny!"
