Since You've Been Gone

I'm not embarrassed to say that I love Kelly Clarkson. I'm sure you can imagine my joy about the fact that I got to go to her concert last Thursday when I was in Utah. Than bought Erica tickets and (lucky for me) was out of town and couldn't go with her. I was in town to run the Utah Valley Marathon (more about that later) and was able to enjoy a little Kelly.

Erica and I have been friends since freshman year of college. As we were waiting for our other friend (Kelly) to show up I couldn't help but reminisce about our college days...going to parties, blasting music in the car, talking about boys, etc. I also couldn't help but reminisce about middle school since we were surrounded by 12 and 13 year olds.

We had great "seats" and danced/jumped around as we sang along. We're both pretty sure that if Kelly really knew us, she'd wanna be friends with us too. THANKS ERICA!!!

PS: The only bad thing about going to Utah was that I was only there for the weekend and after the marathon I could barely walk. I'm sad that I couldn't connect with everyone...hopefully there will be a visit again soon.

Grandma at Cherry Berry with Mikey: "Looks like you are all done. Go put your cup in the trash." Mikey: "I think I want more." Grandma: "I don't think so." Mikey: "It sounds like I want more." Grandma: "It sounds like no mas." Mikey: "It sounds like yes mas."
Tyler: "Look I can snap my fingers! My dad taught me." Grandma: "You have a great dad." Tyler: "Yes, he does whatever I tell him. I'm the ruler of him."
Tyler: "Mom, I want to marry you." Mikey: "I want to marry Grandma."
Tyler: "Mikey, try it!" Mikey, "No! I don't want to!!" Tyler: "Come on Mikey, the world is an exciting place!"
Tyler (after seeing Christmas decorations up in January): "Those decorations are making me exhausted!"
Mikey (while rubbing his eyes): "I'm TIRED...oh umm...I not tired...I not tired!"
Tom: "What did you do today?" Tyler: "A few lame things."
Tyler: "When are you and Daddy going to get married?" Me: "We already got married." Tyler: "But MOM, you have to get married again if you want to have another baby."
Tyler: "Hey Buddy." Mikey: "I not a buddy. I a Mikey Roo!"
The day Tyler turned four he fell. Right away he looked to see if there was blood. When there wasn't, he said, "Four-Year-Olds don't get owies."
Tyler in the Rain: "Now I'm going to show you my famous run in the rain!"
Mikey: "NO! NO! NO! NO!" Me: "Mikey talk nicely please." Mikey: "NO! Please!"
Mikey: "NU! NU!" (My Turn) We keep trying to teach him how to say "my turn" but it always comes out "nu nu." I think I might be a little sad when he gets it right.
We were on a little road trip and the boys kept asking for snacks. I handed them what brought and Tyler said, "Wow, this is like a resturnant (restaurant)!"
Me: "What songs do you want to sing before bed?" Tyler: "You Sexy Thing and I am a Child of God."
Mikey: "Knock! Knock" Me: "Who's there?" Mikey: "HA HA HA HA...Knock Knock!"
Mikey: "Outside...I do!! Outside...I do!!! Outside...I do!!!"
Tyler was "talking" on an old cell phone. I asked him who he was talking with and he said, "Shhh...I'm on the phone."
After hurting himself, "Mommy...I need my comfy bear...the one with the red scarf." Tyler
Today when Tyler woke up, he ran out into the living room and said, "Good Morning Brothers and Sisters!"
