Of course, my great friends Lanell and Erica were there too. I wish I had a pic of Garrett, Christina and Lily. They came even though they had a busy, busy day already planned. Also, Eric Wing ran the race (he finished about an hour before I did) so he and his wife Heather were around to do some cheering as well. I know it sounds cheesy but I couldn't be more grateful for all the encouragment I got in reaching my goal. From Tom staying home with Tyler and my mom coming over to help him out to everyone who showed up at the race, it was great to have the support. Thanks guys!!!

26.2 Miles of Pain
Holy Cow! This past weekend I ran the Utah Valley Marathon. Needless to say, it was hard!! For a while I've had the goal to run a "post baby" marathon and Tom made the goal possible by signing me up for the Utah Valley and staying with Ty while I was away (What an awesome husband!). I totally under estimated the Utah elevation and my time wasn't as good as marathons past but I was pumped to complete it and meet my goal. The coolest thing about the race was having family and friends show up to cheer me on...I'm a lucky girl!
The Watsons were amazing! At around mile 21ish, I saw Myles and then heard "Emily! Emily! Emily!" Christie, Myles, Robyn, Carly, Macy and Mike were all there cheering away. They met me at a bunch of places between 21 and the end.
This is Robyn and Macy cheering from the top of Mike's car. They ended up cheering for me and Myles because he saved my life by running the last bit with me.
I was surprised and happy to see Mike at mile 7 and then every few miles throughout the entire race. Seriously, both he and Myles went above and beyond the call of brother in law duty.

I'm totally impressed. Running a "post-baby" marathon definitely wasn't one of my goals...but good for you! you look fantastic!!
WOW! You're amazing!!! Way to finish. Are you sure you just had a baby? I'm training right now for my first half in September. Keep it up!
WAY TO GO! I can't imagine running a marathon less than a year after having a baby. Okay, let's all be honest...I can't imagine running a marathon. Period. You're a great example of making goals and sticking to them.
Way to go! You'll have to plan for next yr, so we can see you and cheer you on again. Oh, yeah, maybe we won't still be here next year...
I cant tell you enough...YOU ROCK!!! That is amazing you completes a "post baby" marathon! Too bad for me I have to wait until I am apsolutly done w/ babies to do one. But then we can rock together, k!
