This morning I ran a St Patrick's Day 5K. It's the first race I've done since Baby T came along and I'll tell ya, I'm glad I started small. It's funny to think that in the past I would be running a race and think, "Sweet, only three more miles to go!" When I reached the 2K mark today I thought, "Dang, I can't believe I still have so far to go."

During most races, there is someone at the mile markers to let you know how fast you are going. I thought I was cruising because when I went past the first marker, the guys said, "Four minutes 30 seconds." I was in disbelief! I've never run a mile that fast! Who says that having a baby slows you down? I quickly realized he was standing at the 1K mark...a little different. :)

While I didn't get my best time ever, it was really fun to get back in the game. Who knows, I may try doing a post baby marathon...someday.

I'm so proud of you Em! Guess what...I'm currently looking for local 5K. Chris and I need something to motivate us!
way to go! you're looking fantastic!
You look great!!! Congrats! I wish we could run together again. It's been so long, first i'm pregnant, than you. Now that we are back running, you moved. So sad!
I need some motivation to go faster!
way to go em. we need to find a race that we can all run together (hopefully my knee will be able to handle it).
You are definitely tough!! I agree with April, it would be so fun to run a race together someday! I am still scared to exercise but can't wait to get going soon!! Love ya!
So fun! I can barely make it 2 miles these days, I'm proud of you!!
Good job Em that is awesome.
Way to go! Glad you got the jogging stroller you wanted. Maybe the co. will sponsor you next time!
Em! Hooray for little races! :) I wish you were here to run with me. I think if I keep training (and get into St. George) I will qualify for Boston this year....not that I would run it, but just to say that I had. I ran a race last weekend too -- nothing better than the good old trusty Rex E. Lee 10k! :)
GO GIRL!! I'm way proud of you! Especially since the warm weather is coming, I'm getting the need to run...thanks for your motivation!
Very cool! Great job! I need to do that one of these days. I love checking in on your family!
