Happy New Year!!

We've had a great start to 2013!  My parents were amazing and offered to keep our kids while we had a 90s New Year's Eve Party.  It was amazing!  Tom took the boys to my parents on Monday and I had the whole day to myself.  What fun thing did I choose to do?  Clean my house.  You know life has changed when that is how I choose to spend my free time.  I will say that having everything clean at the same time and not having to worry about someone messing up what I just did was heavenly. Is it weird that I'm talking about this for so long?  I really was fabulous.

When Tom got home we headed to Goodwill to find the perfect 90s clothing.  We went with the grunge look.  What do you think?  I actually thought, "This is exactly what I looked like in the 90s." Well, except the baby bump part.

At the party we had 90s trivia with questions like, "What was the dogs name on Full House?" and "Name all of the Spice Girls."  The girls won.  We also had 90s music and the original Nintendo Games.  Tetris turned out to be the most popular.  It was fun to talk with everyone about the first tape or cd they owned, favorite concerts, tv shows, etc.
Grunge Clothes combined with a Prom Pose
Some of the 90s Ladies at the party and a few of the guys.  I wish we would have thought to take pictures when everyone was there.
Yay for the 90s and yay for my parents who kept the kids so we could sleep in on New Years Day and then go shopping and out to eat.  Halfway through New Year's Day my mom called and said she could keep them for another day.  It was awesome to have a little staycation.
Thanks Mom and Dad!
This picture is totally inappropriate to post which is why I didn't zoom in.  I just think it's hilarious that Tyler LOVES peeing outside.  Anytime there isn't a toilet close by at the park, it all of the sudden becomes an emergency to go to the bathroom.  He'll say, "It's okay Mom.  I can just go outside" like he's doing me a favor.  Oh that kid cracks me up.  I love those little white buns out in the distance.
We spend a lot of time at our neighborhood park.  The boys think it's fun to play in "the woods."  We usually hunt lions and bears.  Tyler defends the family with a stick that shoots fire while Mikey and I run away.  As you can imagine, it gets pretty exciting.
Isn't Mikey the cutest little orange marshmallow you've ever seen?
Oh man, I could eat him up he's so stinking cute!!
Tyler is cute too but just in a really loud, I like to yell all the time way.
In our house we have an open carry policy because you never know who may be lurking around the corner.
Not a Carrot!  Maybe if I cover my eyes the veggies will go away and cookies will appear.
Again, Mikey is SO cute!
Tyler's favorite new scary face.  Like I said, he's cute but in a different way. :)
I have to admit that 9 times out of 10 Tom is a lot more fun than me.  Here they are all snuggled watching a video clip on his phone.  I love those boys.
The reason why Mikey isn't looking at the camera is because he's telling his animals to say cheese.
A couple of weeks ago Tyler and I got sick then Tom got sick.  Everyone was better for a few day then Mikey got sick...now Tyler is sick again.  I'm pretty sure this is going to be the story of our lives for the next few winters.
The other day Tyler brought his "Hop on Pop" bear to preschool for show and tell (thanks Gram).  Wasn't it thoughtful of Tyler to think of the Bear's safety along with his own?
Have I mentioned that I love my boys?  I'm one lucky lady.

Fun post! As for little boys peeing outside...oh my. I have had more talks about that with my boys!!! As in,"no, you may not go to the front yard just to pee off the front porch...we have bathrooms inside!!!" or, "please at least go behind a tree away from other people if you are going to pee at the park!"...the conversations I never imagined having...but little boys are so fun and yours are so cute!!! Love ya!

Sure love those boys! I'm sure Mikey wished he could come to preschool instead of the Hop on Pop Bear. I really enjoyed the pics!
Your mom is SO wonderful to watch the boys!!!
Love, Gram
