Thanksgiving

Gram, Grandpa Tim and "Big Mike" came out for Thanksgiving. My parents also came to celebrate. We...especially our kids...had a blast. Tyler ate his body weight in donuts, cake, cookies...you name it. It was fun to watch him get spoiled by our family. Mikey also loved all the extra attention. I'm happy that we could be together to celebrate his birthday. Mikey is following the trend of his big brother...no pants. Gram and Grandpa Tim got Mikey a great rocking horse. He loves it and is getting good at "riding" by himself. I love the kind of gifts that will be fun such a long time. Isn't Tyler nice to show Mikey how to work his new toy? Hopefully someday Mikey will be big enough to assert his will but until then, Tyler is the dominate one in their brotherly relationship. This toy has been a big hit. What boy wouldn't love a steering wheel.

We ran a 5K Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. Can you guess who's idea? Gram was the big winner. She placed in her age group and came home with a medal. Nice job!

Big Mike is an amazing uncle and both my boys have a "man crush" on him. He's such a good sport about them waking him up at the crack of dawn and demanding his attention every minute. At one point Tyler followed Mike into the bathroom and asked him if he could flush. After that Mike locked the door...smart. They're lucky to have such a great uncle!
